Week 7: Promises and Predictions: Mark and Paul

It has to be tough being Mark.  So many weapons and such a narrow window by which to use them.  Mark has Stafford (QB), Forte (RB), Welker (WR), Eddie Lacy (RB), Martellus Bennett (TE).  It's a real choice collection of hot players.  Plus he is armed with a strong collection of IDPs and a good kicker.  It is a good team.  However the problem is the that there is nothing on the bench.  James Jones (WR) is going to sit out this week and Mark has nothing to replace him with.  That's why it's surprising that Mark did not attempt to add another WR this week.

To be fair, there may be trades attempted that I don't know about, but for a team on the bubble of having a post season I don't see the urgency. Mark is lounging by the pool taking in the views.

For those of us that will be out of the playoff hunt remember week 10.  That is the week that Peyton Manning (QB) returns from his bye and Jay Cutler (QB) (a.k.a. Paul's 6th ranked back up) will have served his purpose.  Paul will looking for a RB for his playoff run because right now his "sure thing" 1RB is Danny Woodhead (RB).  Don't get me wrong, Paul has been trying (see Willis McGahee) but he doesn't quite have the play maker he needs. Evidence to this fact will come this week when his tough match-ups will spell a Mark a narrow Mark Victory.

PS: Yeah Paul did some spit swapping this week with Rookie for Alshon Jeffrey (WR), but the buried headline is this bit of waiver action....

And then Suisham, who was just added, falls to the new flavor?
